This site is dedicelephantated to exploring how cultural communication relates to wildlife trafficking and conservation, using the conservation of elephants and the ivory trade as our case study.  We will explore how the U.S. and foreign governments educate their citizens about wildlife, the role of non-profits in working against wildlife trafficking, and how the media also play a part in wildlife conservation. Though our primary focus is on elephant conservation, this case study gives us a better understanding of the role of communication in wildlife conservation as a whole.
